Everyone in Churchill’s truck were pitched head over heels onto the floor but no one was seriously hurt. The three trucks in the front had been derailed (there were now three trucks ahead of the locomotive since the train was now reversing). The first, which contained the materials and tools of the breakdown gang and the guard who was watching the line, had overturned and was upside down on the embankment.
